Wonders of Wetlands day camp provides young learners with an immersive, hands-on introduction to the natural world.  The program takes place at the Lawrence Wetlands Preserve, a new 8.5 acre facility featuring multiple ecosystems including marshes, swamps, forests, meadows, hiking trails, a boardwalk, a one-acre pond, and a 1,200-square-foot nature center.  Campers spend their time exploring these environments to sample marine life, collect specimens for nature-themed crafts, and learn about the flora and fauna of the region.  Participants also use the Preserve as a base of operations for visiting nearby sites in Chestertown such as Wilmer Park, the Holt Education Center, the Chester River, and Radcliffe Creek.
