An Important Word about Covid & the Summer of 2022
At the Sultana Education Foundation (SEF), our number one priority is the health and safety of the children placed in our care.
For 2022, all SEF Summer Programs will operate in compliance with CDC and Maryland Covid guidelines for Summer Camps, an updated version of which we expect to be issued in the Spring of 2022. These guidelines will likely be similar to those currently used by public schools in Maryland.
SEF does not anticipate requiring vaccination or ongoing testing for Day Programs for the summer of 2022.
For residential (overnight) Summer Programs SEF may require participants to either provide proof of vaccination or submit to initial and ongoing Covid antigen testing conducted by SEF’s staff. Should testing be deemed necessary, SEF will charge participants $15-$20 per test and anticipates that tests will be required every three days.
We expect the final version of SEF’s Covid 19 policies for the Summer of 2022 will be issued by May 1. Parents uncomfortable with any aspect of SEF’s final Covid policies may withdraw with a full refund within 14 days of the issuance of the guidelines.
Speaking on behalf of everyone at SEF, we are excited to offer a full slate of Summer Programs for the first time since 2019 and hope to have the privilege of exploring the Chesapeake with your child this summer.
