Sultana Education Foundation operates mobile canoe and kayak rigs that provide hands-on paddling programs for school and adult groups on tidal tributaries of the Chesapeake Bay. While most padding programs take place on the Chester and Sassafras Rivers, SEF’s paddling rigs can also operate further afield at locations such as the lower Susquehanna River, the upper Potomac River, Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge, and anywhere in between. Many of SEF’s paddling programs are closely linked with the National Park Service’s Captain John Smith Chesapeake National Historic Trail.
