DESCRIPTION:Come explore the upper reaches of the Chesapeake Bay with SEF!\nCome explore the upper reaches of the Chesapeake Bay with the Sultana Education Foundation! We will launch at a site just south of the Conowingo Dam and explore the fresh water area where the Susquehanna River flows into the Chesapeake Bay. We will flow down the river on the current to another state park landing. Along the way we will explore the flora and the fauna of the upper Chesapeake Bay\, including a cormorant rookery. \n***Important Notes*** \n*This paddle contains small rapids and rocks that we will traverse through in a safe manner. Many can be avoided if you want\, but some cannot. \n*This paddle is only in one direction\, but Sultana will use one of our vans to drive participants back to the launch site at the end of the paddle. \nSultana Education Foundation’s public paddles are a great way to explore the shallow creeks\, streams\, and rivers that flow to our nation’s largest estuary.
