These trips provide campers with adventures through the hidden marshes and creeks of the Chesapeake Bay, and an opportunity to better their paddling skills. For the first three days, campers explore the tidal freshwater marshes and sandy beaches on the Sassafras River. Mid-week, the group breaks camp and travels to a private farm on the Nanticoke River, one of the most pristine and scenic tributaries of the Chesapeake Bay. When not paddling, campers venture ashore to swim, fish, pull seine nets, marsh muck, and relax. By night, paddlers pitch tents, roast s’mores, and swap campfire stories.
