Paddling Guides

During warm weather months (April – October) a team of Volunteer Paddling Guides works alongside the Sultana Education Foundation’s professional staff to assist with implementation of the Foundation’s canoe and kayak-based programs. During the school year the main activity is paddling-based educational programs for K-12 students. Other opportunities include assisting with weekend “Public Paddles” and multi-day eco-travel expeditions for adults.   Between one and two Volunteer Paddling Guides may accompany the Foundation’s professional staff for each program.  Individuals wishing to join this volunteer program need to be comfortable on the water, solid swimmers, and have experience kayaking and canoeing (see physical requirements below).
